I have had this dress for what seems an eternity, until I finally decided to use it on a day out. I was heading to a date, and it turned heads wherever I went. I have to be honest- capes didn't really grab my attention until I saw it on the runways about two seasons ago, especially because of my height, but Nasty Gal changed my mind. I love the way a simple cut out feature can make such a statement! What do you think? Are you a fan or not? And what about this electric cobalt purse? It is such a beautiful colorblock contrast that I couldn't not include it with my ensemble! 

In other news, have you been watching any of the NYFW shows? Have you seen any chic new trends or designer collections that you've fallen in love with? Personally, I just swooned over Mara Hoffman! I mean, that total bohemian vibe sealed the deal for me.

Super short post tonight, as we are preparing our home for our first (technically) visitors- my mother in law and Alex's aunt. This is inspired by Valentines's Day (as if you didn't guess by the title), so it would be great if you're going somewhere really casual, like the movies or a picnic by the lake. Switch it up for some heels for a chic dinner date and slick your hair back into a low pony with a clutch and done! Perfect in a snap! What did you think of this look?

I am still getting situated at my new home, but with it comes a new feeling of empowerment (as strange as it sounds). Let me explain why. Ever since Alex and I met, we had always known that we would be living in San Diego together eventually, but we were unsure of when exactly when we first moved to Arizona. Now that we are here, it finally opens up more time for planning and executing blog posts, with time and little pressure. I feel like pushing myself more than I already was, because now there are little boundaries (like sunlight, for example- seen here) and I feel like I can take on more than I've ever been used to. Here's to more successful blogging and meeting new, creative people! There are many changes coming to this blog, beginning with how often I post and what kind of outfits I put together. I know no one has my style necessarily (obvs!), but idk, I want to try a bit of a different approach to things. This month has been and is still eventful for other reasons other than Christmas; Alex just graduated from his university, his birthday is also the 30th, and of course, there's the NYE celebrations. 'TIS THE SEASON FOR A&F

And just like that the holidays are here. It was last Saturday (the day after Halloween) that I saw five Christmas-related commercials while watching television. As always, I think we question the fact that a new year is upon us and whether we will actually follow our resolutions this time. But before this, we have plenty of holiday parties we need to gear up for, and with this in mind, I have teamed up with Abercrombie & Fitch to bring you a glimpse into their holiday collection (now in stores), which includes chic outerwear, sweaters, scarves, and more! Of course, when it comes to my personal style (and the fact that it is still very warm in Southern California), I tend to really mix it up when it comes to certain pieces, so it's no surprise that I threw on this amazing faux fur jacket with a pair of casual sneakers. This is a look that reminds me of nights out with friends during the holidays when we were all home from college on break. Where would you use this combo to? Y así de rapido ya llegaron las fiestas navideñas. Era el sábado pasado (el dia después de Halloween) que mire cinco comerciales de Navidad en la television. Y como siempre, nos ponemos a pensar en que que rapido termino el año y si tal vez esta vez vamos a cumplir con nuestras resoluciones. Pero antes de esto, tenemos eventos de la temporada a las cuales debemos de asistir, y con esto en mente, me e juntado con Abercrombie & Fitch para traerles unos looks de su coleccion de invierno (que ya esta en tiendas), que incluye chaquetas, suéteres, bufandas, y mucho mas! Claro, cuando se trata de mi estilo personal (y tambien que aqui en San Diego todavia hace mucho calor durante el dia), me gusta intercambiar tendencias, así que no es sorpresa que me puse esta chaqueta de piel sintetica con unos tenis casuales. Este look me recuerda a las vacaciones de Navidad cuando todos mis amigos y yo nos juntábamos cuando regresábamos del colegio. A donde usarias esta combinación?
