I have only just realized that my blog is over a year old already and it seems like it was just yesterday I started this thing (when it was really in 2011). I hope to continue to do this for years to come and hopefully make it more than it currently is in the future.

On to the outfit: if you follow me on Instagram, you have seen that I already wore this dress from For Love and Lemons  on our last night in Hawaii almost three weeks ago. I was terribly worried that the x-small wouldn't fit, but I guess that feeling should've only came to me after dinner. Let's just say I couldn't have dessert and almost had to sit in the car all the way to Waikiki, a la Kendall Jenner in her Topshop dress. Worth every second though. 

What would you guys like to see more on here? I love when I get feedback so I know at least one soul out there is taking their time to read this blog.

I feel as if the week is going by extremely slow this time around, with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees in some parts of San Diego. The only thing even coming close to being related to fall is the Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. Don't get me wrong, I like crop tops and cut-out dresses just like the next girl, but I've had it. 

How's the weather where you're at? Hope it's a much more pleasant experience than it is in Souther California at the moment. xx

EL CENTRO

Yesterday we took a little ride to a place I've been wanting to shoot for a while now in El Centro, about 15 minutes from Calexico, and it was as perfect up close as it had always been from my car driving by. The time was about 5:15pm, the sun was starting to set, and besides the fact that I was wearing my comfortable platforms, it took about 5 minutes to walk from where we parked to the train. Might I also add that it was over 100 degrees and giant red ants everywhere, but when you're in the mood to shoot, you endure anything to get that "just right" photo. Did you like the results just as much as I did?

I am usually not a fan of ruffled shorts, especially semi-sheer ones, but when I saw the pineapple print on these, I bought them on the spot. The best part? They were only $10! They are not great for taking anywhere but the beach really, so I knew I'd wear them for sure in Hawaii. And let's not even begin with the shoes. THE SHOES. I've been dying for some Chiara Ferragni flats ever since she first came out with her flats collection (which are the only constant pairs every season), and though she has expanded her designs, I've always wanted the eye ones. I love the comfort of the insole and overall end product of it. It was pretty pricey (about $290), but I think that so far they have proved they're well-worth the price. It also reassures my purchase decision when I constantly get complemented when I have them on. I hope to buy another pair (or two!) in the future! Gorg!
Now how about that Mini Mac apparently every blogger has? I needed a staple black purse that would hold more items than the ones I already had, and versatile enough to take from day to night with any outfit. Score!

This past week (almost) has been one for the books, from hiking up gorgeous trails and ending at waterfalls, to swimming in the middle of the ocean on sandbars along giant sea turtles. Our time here may be close to an end, but the memories are anything but that. I have told Alex that this might be our last time here, since the next time we travel anywhere, it should be Europe; but this visit has proved that that will most likely change. Who would trade clear, blue skies and the greetings of friendly Hawaiian people for anything else? Saturday, please take your time because I certainly don't want to leave.

Esta semana a sido una experiencia hermosa- escalando montañas para terminar viendo cascadas desde arriba, a ir nadando en medio del mar junto a tortugas gigantes! Nuestro tiempo aqui casi termina, pero no significa que las memorias tienen que para ahi. Le habia dicho a Alex que alomejor es nuestra ultima vez aqui por un largo tiempo, ya que es hora de ir de viaje a Europa antes de que vengan los niños, pero ahora quien sabe. Quien quiere cambiar cielos azules sin nubes por otra cosa? Sabado, tomate tu tiempo porque no me quiero ir todavia.

The weekend was spent in Calexico again, with little to do, yet full of relaxation. It is currently around 105 degrees outside, and I am about to head back to San Diego. These past three months have been a test of my patience, since I have returned back to living at my parents. It seems like I have less time for anything, and sometimes I hardly talk to Alex for more than an hour on a daily basis. Luckily, my job can get a bit interesting everyday, and the people that surround me are usually exceptionally funny. There will be a break from this monotony that is my life in two weeks because I will be in Hawaii for 10 days, and I am desperately counting down the days. For now, I bring you this boho-chic outfit that will surely be imitated throughout this vacation. Pair anything fringe-y with the perfect hat and you're ready to set the high seas on your private yacht. Don't own a private yacht? (Just kidding. I don't own a yacht. Wish I did. But I will be trying to get any signal I get deep in the ocean to bring you some of the most scenic photographs you've ever seen. And not because I am a pro, but because everywhere you turn, everything is photograph-worthy.) How perfect does that sound?
