Can you believe it's already March?! Where does time go? It just can't be that Alex has already been living in San Diego for almost two months- and I can't process how I just went from living at my parent's house into my own place without having to travel every weekend. Goodness!

Outfit: I am not the biggest fan of long shorts because I am so petite, but I couldn't pass up the print on these babes- isn't it gorgeous? The colors are so vibrant and different, they were definitely a good addition to my wardrobe. As for the top, I simply rolled up my basic tank top from Topshop and slipped on my Zara blazer for a more "polished" look. Ideal for a night out with your special someone or with the girls! Which would you pick?

This past week has been a bit eventful, including the day I ran in the middle of the trolley tracks trying to capture these photos. Highly dangerous (and possibly illegal), the wind was also no help (exhibit A- my hair). Nonetheless, it was a fun 10 minutes while it lasted. 

What I am wearing: this culotte mini jumpsuit was a total standout while I was out shopping late last week at Fashion Valley. I didn't really know how to feel about it, but I think it might be a pass in my book. What do you think of this trend?

You might have noticed something different- yes! I have finallyyy redesigned the blog! I had been thinking about changing it up a bit for a few months now, and I just kind of decided to throw myself into finding a designer with similar visions as mine and here we are! Hope you like it! There are a few categories that are new to this site (lifestyle & advice), and they were created based on new topics I'd really like to get into. For now though, I bring you this outfit, shot this past Saturday in Coronado. It was a bit on the chilly side (San Diego weather hardly disappoints!), but you can't tell I'm freezing in these photos...right? ;) Anyway, I spotted this skort at Topshop the day before and lucky me, they were having a HUGE clearance sale, so I grabbed this top and unexpectedly, it matched perfectly. What do you think?

There are many changes coming to this blog, beginning with how often I post and what kind of outfits I put together. I know no one has my style necessarily (obvs!), but idk, I want to try a bit of a different approach to things. I have a few exciting projects coming up that I can't wait to show you guys, so watch out for that!

Let me just say that when I saw this Rebecca Minkoff bag, I almost screamed. Scratch that. I kind of screamed. It is such a reminder of the little backpacks I owned from the early 2000s, don't you think? Though I am not sure where else besides NYFW I'd wear this outfit, it's always nice to frolick around the city pretending the streets are some sort of runway. Sort of crazy, right? 

Anyway, my home is more than halfway unpacked; I can't wait to show you guys around! I feel so weird finally living in the same city as Alex again; it's been 8 months! Whoa.

If you know me, you know that most of the time on this blog has taken place in Calexico, California, a small place on such a large map that hardly anyone knows about. Calexico is a border town, connecting with the Mexican city of Mexicali just minutes away. This is where my father's side of the family partly grew up (Mexicali), so I have family on both sides. And this is where I would sneak off to in the early part of my twenties, especially after I met Alex at the only Starbucks around. Every Friday came and I'd take off, away from the hustle and bustle of the city that is San Diego, leaving people wondering why I'd leave such an "awesome" place to come to the scorching desert. I partly grew up here, and it's always nice coming back. A place where dreams have literally come to life...

Today's quick post is brought to you in part of the fact that I have to take my (soon-to-be) broken down laptop (cue tears). Well, I am not entirely sure this is what's going to happen to my MacBook, but I hope not because I CLEARLY need this thing for more than one thing (Pinterest and catching up on Sons of Anarchy, helloooo)! Do you watch the show? Gimme all your thoughts on it! I don't want it to end!

On another note, the babes at Fevrie gifted me one of the most comfortable and gorgeous cardigans I've ever owned; even the color is perfect! Since apparently a bit of summer is still felt here in San Diego, I chose to wear it with one of my favorite Forever 21's skirts and some chunky heels for added chicness! It has been a little crazy lately with planning holiday events, work, and personal things that I haven't had time to post! I was inspired to put this outfit together because of these things going on in my life, and also because I had a few ideas in mind when it came to getting dressed up for this season's festivities.
