The start of a new week is always rough, and today was a bit of the same- weekend withdrawals, and not even wanting to think about the fact that my birthday is next week, though the only good thing about it is that it will be on Monday, so that should be enough motivation to get me through that day. Alex finally makes a trip to SD this weekend, so I'm pretty sure we will be hitting up a pumpkin patch with my sister and kids, shooting some outfit posts, and maybe do a little bit of shopping (it is my pre-birthday weekend, after all!). Four more days!

I'm not going to lie- wearing all of these layers were such a bad idea because the sun doesn't seem to want to go away (where are you fall?!); good thing is that once you get the hang of posing for a few shots, the rest of the "session" seems to go by smoothly. You bet I asked for a Slurpee from 7-Eleven after that!

El empiezo de una semana nueva siempre es de lo peor, y ahora no fue excepción. Extraño el fin, y ni quiero ponerme a pensar en que cumplo años el proximo Lunes; creo que lo unico bueno de eso es que cae en ese dia- creo que eso me dará fuerzas para entrar al trabajo en inicio de semana! 

Alex finalmente vendra a San Diego este fin, asi que estoy segura de que iremos por unas calabazas con mi hermana y los bebes, tomarnos fotos para el blog, y alomejor gastar un poquito de dinero en ropa en honor a mi cumpleaños :p Cuatro dias mas!

No les mentire- era mala idea usar todas estas prendas en un dia tan caliente- parece que el otoño nunca llegara de verdad. Claro que pedi algo refrescante de tomar despues de esta sesion!

If you know me, you know that I am a sucker for anything on sale. This is what happened with this uh-maziinnnggg Topshop coat, which I found at Last Chance in Arizona for only $14! It is a size 4, but hey, I can completely improvise with quick fixes here and quick fixes there in order to make it at least seem like it does fit me. I hope that this heatwave (more like permanent summer feelings) subside- I AM SO OVER IT.

Si me conoces sabes que me encanta todo lo que compro en venta. Esto es exactamente lo que paso con esta chaqueta preciosa de Topshop que encontre en Last Chance en Phoenix- nomas costo $14! Es una talla mas grande de la que normalmente soy, pero claro que me las arreglare para que se vea como que SI me queda bien.

This past week (almost) has been one for the books, from hiking up gorgeous trails and ending at waterfalls, to swimming in the middle of the ocean on sandbars along giant sea turtles. Our time here may be close to an end, but the memories are anything but that. I have told Alex that this might be our last time here, since the next time we travel anywhere, it should be Europe; but this visit has proved that that will most likely change. Who would trade clear, blue skies and the greetings of friendly Hawaiian people for anything else? Saturday, please take your time because I certainly don't want to leave.

Esta semana a sido una experiencia hermosa- escalando montañas para terminar viendo cascadas desde arriba, a ir nadando en medio del mar junto a tortugas gigantes! Nuestro tiempo aqui casi termina, pero no significa que las memorias tienen que para ahi. Le habia dicho a Alex que alomejor es nuestra ultima vez aqui por un largo tiempo, ya que es hora de ir de viaje a Europa antes de que vengan los niños, pero ahora quien sabe. Quien quiere cambiar cielos azules sin nubes por otra cosa? Sabado, tomate tu tiempo porque no me quiero ir todavia.

A walk through one of my favorite places in San Diego, Eastlake was the setting for tonight's post. I was skeptical about grabbing this organza top from Missguided, but I knew exactly how I would wear it. It's beyond perfect for my upcoming vacation to paradise (Hawaii), and the lucite heels aren't bad either, huh?

In case you haven't noticed, I am a huge fan of the color mint- I have plenty of clothing pieces in that shade. It is the perfect representation of summer, and nothing makes me feel more in season than combining it with a really great pair of denim and a pair of stunning shoes. I am currently in Calexico, where I am joining my husband on a relaxing weekend before heading back to San Diego tomorrow. Sundays always suck, but I have the opportunity to go back to Arizona for a brief visit beginning Thursday night. Never thought I'd say I'm glad to be heading back to the desert!

It has been nearly a week since I have posted, and I wasn't even about to tonight. Good thing I have because the blog is about to get a little bit more interesting: I have a few collabs in the works with uber amazinggggg brands that I can't even handle the excitement. In other news, I will be traveling back to Arizona next weekend and preparing to endure more heat than I can imagine (on the plus size, there's a pool waiting to be used). I never thought I'd say I'd be glad to be back in the desert, but when you haven't been in your own apartment in months, I don't think there's anything better.
