There are a few times when I catch myself (still) watching "Say Yes To The Dress" on TLC and hearing girls describe their "dream wedding dress" to the consultant, to whom they say that "lace is NOT an option" and they would hate to wear that on their special day. As you can imagine, my jaw drops every time, I mean, lace is gorgeous! Of course, this also depends on what kind of specific lace you are referring to and what type of dress you might be looking for. For everyday wear, I usually play up a mix and match of textiles, for example this this case, lace, denim, and velvet shoes. It is such a play on juxtaposition which automatically makes it one of my go-to combos for any season, hell, I'd even wear it to a wedding! Yes, you read right. A wedding, a bar, a late night taco run, to wherever the fuck you want.

Oddly enough as I am writing this, it is POURING outside- it's finally feeling like fall. Buuuuut being a true San Diego kid I absolutely know that this is not really going to last. I think it's honestly because of the current hurricane going through the Baja California coast and sadly not because the weather has fully decided on changing just yet. But even days like these call for peacoats and a cup of hot coffee, and that's where the babes of Tobi come in (we'll call them my "fairy godmothers" of sorts). They were kind enough to gift me some pieces from their fall collection and you guys know that I am such a sucker for all kinds of jackets and coats (so please SD, GET IT TOGETHER!). I decided to pair it up with one of their rompers, a long sleeve blouse, and a pair of strappy heels, since you know, this weather is just soooo unbelievably unpredictable (*insert eye roll here*).

I am not the biggest fan of any kind of dress that fits me longer than my knee, but I will make an exception just this once. The scalloped design and lightweight fabric is perfect for a special date or even a wedding with cocktail or formal-wear is required. Another plus? The fact that it is available in red as well, you know, just in case you want to stand out a little more. 

Happy Labor Day weekend, babes! It's back to my comfy bed and "2 Broke Girls" marathon.
